KITCHEN REMODEL TABERNA, NORTH CAROLINA SEPT 2006

This was a fun job. The customer new exactly what he wanted and had a engineered drawing (He was an engineer). The cabinets were ordered through Kraft Maid to match the existing cabinets and crown molding. The wine racks were ordered also through Kraft maid, but they would not hold a large wine bottle so I was able to remove the back and the racks and build new ones the right size and also install a wood dowel in between the racks. The wall, upper cabinets are installed on, is a 2 x 4 wall with 3/4 birch plywood and then 3/16 bead board.

If you examine photo 1 you see we brought the fridge out (new fridge wouldn't fit in the hole.) In photos 5 and 6 we installed a cabinet/pantry into the wall were the fridge use to be. This was fun also. There was wallpaper on the wall and we did not want to damage this. We were successful. There are lights under upper cabinet. I custom built counter top with a oak chaffed edge.
